Winnie the Pooh

Last night Tyler and I decided to go to Disneyland . So we packed our things and headed to Anaheim after Tyler's class. We walked around the park the first hour letting Zoë soak in all the colors, sounds, smells. We decided since she is still very young that we would not over load her with rides so we pick one ride a week. This week was the Winnie the Pooh ride. The Winnie the Pooh ride is by far Zoë's favorite ride out of all the ones she has been on. As you can see in one of the pictures she was alert and attentive to what was going on. It was so neat for Tyler and I to watch her every move on the ride. To see when she would smile to when she would furrow her brow in contemplation. It was very entertaining for us and rewarding in a way. We had so much fun. I think the next ride will go on next week will be the Peter Pan ride. Till then Winnie the Pooh is the winner.

A Tribute to my husband

Tyler has praised me too much for so many things that I keep thinking I really couldn't have done without him, yet he gives me all the credit. So I decided that I would surprise post a tribute to my husband. All these pictures should tell you how much he is involved as a husband and a father. Tyler is an amazing person. Everyday he comes home from a busy day at school and with much anticipated work on his hands yet he takes time for Zoë and I. He volunteers to changing her diapers, feeding her, and even finds time for a little one on one. Zoë has taken a liking to his playfull, cheerful ways. She is still very young to know certain faces, but when her dad comes home she lights up. I love him for that. He has every good reason to just come home and lock himself in the room and do homework but he doesn't. I admire his active involvement among a life of full time school.

"Lets go Surfin now every bodies learnin how..."

Ever since Zoë has learned how to stay on her tummy without stumbling she now loves her surf board. She will play on her surf board for at least half an hour to 45 mins everyday just laughin and hiting the fish in the water pouch. I keep wanting to get a video on the blog, but I still have not been able to figure it out. until then these pics should really illustrate how much she loves surfin.

Discovery # 5

We have mentioned in past blog posts about Zoë begining tummy time. With each passing day her strength is such that now she has discovered how to prop her self up on her on with her arms. She is actually enjoying tummy time now. It's only right around the corner, crawling.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Here are the pictures everyone has been waiting for. We wanted to keep our costumes a surprise this year. Zoe was a monkey who was chillin and playing in her trees. She was an absolute cutie that night.

My new role in life according to Zoë

Zoë has found a new game. It's called Mommy is a human jungle gym. I love it. I am constantly finding out new roles that I have as a new mother, such as I have discovered that I am the nurturer {I feed her}, I am the comforter {I hug her when she cries}, and the new one playmate.{ I am there to paint with her play dress up and be her jungle gym}. I cant wait till she gets to the age where I can flip her over my head. Till then this is pretty exciting and adventurous to her. Being a new mother is never boring nor tedious. I was just asked the other day if I liked my life. I want everyone to know and I am sure all mothers and past mothers will agree with my sentiments. I LOVE being a full time mother. It is the most fullfilling position I have ever held next to being a wife.
