"Candyland"

As much as we love being parents to Zoe we still love being married to each other. August 12th was our 2 year anniversary. I know it's really not considered a bench mark but we still had fun celebrating it. We decided that this year we would celebrate at the Huntington Gardens and Library. This is a special place for us since this is where we had our very first date and where we took our wedding photos. It was like walking down Memory Lane. We revisited the places that we took pictures for our wedding and the places we went on our first date. To have all those memories come back to us accompanied by the feelings we had back then made this little outing quit special to us. Another great memory we get to store up there again at the Huntington Gardens and Library. As I look back on the two years of our marriage I like to think that it has been like the game Candyland. Remember playing that as a child. I remember as I was playing that game the goal was to get to the castle but along thw way was not a cake walk you would have times of easy passage ways, some challenging times, sweet rewards along the way, and even some set backs that would make you reevaluate your game plan. Like I said it has been a lot like Candyland, except we get to choose how our journey will play out rather than some colored cards telling our every move. We are still in the middle of the game working hard at our marriage to get to the castle. It has been a great two years and I lokk forward to many more years.

Time flies

Zoe is 1 month old. It has been a great first month. Today she weighed in at 8 pounds and 2 ounces and was measured at 21 1/4 inches long. She has definately been growing as I now find my arm getting tired when I hold her for long periods of time. She is still our little peanut whom we love and treasure.
